End of Summer

Dear Family and Friends:

Hello again from Bristol, UK.  It’s always hard to say good bye to summer, but this year we celebrated with the annual Bristol Balloon Festival.  Thousands of people went and it was a beautiful afternoon – apparently it’s the biggest balloon festival in Europe ( can’t say as I’ve ever heard of a balloon festival before!)

We’ve been reading some inspiring biographies on men of faith and the power of prayer,   George Mueller and Rees Howells.  George Muller was a minister in Bristol who God asked to start orphanages to take care of the homeless children in the UK.  By faith, he started what eventually became five orphanages and cared for over 10,000 orphans.  His legacy of faith inspires many people here and we talk about opening the ancient wells of spiritual heritage here from people like him, also John Wesley’s first chapel is in Bristol too.

While we wish we were more connected in our ministry by now, we do have some progress to report:  We attended the Charismatic Anglican “New Wine” Conference http://www.new-wine.org/summer in August, and met many good ministries there, we connected with Andy Freeman of Britain’s 24-7 Prayer movement http://uk.24-7 prayer.com/ and are exploring setting up a 24-7 house of prayer here in Bristol.  Here’s a link to the blog I’ve just started for it. http://revival4uk.wordpress.com/ We are praying about starting up a monthly calendar with one and two hour slots people can sign up for to pray either at their home, work place, or church.  Eventually we hope to have a house of prayer space here in Bristol.

We visited Bath City Church this summer and it has lots of great things happening there- we hope to join in with them, too as the year progresses. http://www.bathcitychurch.org.uk/

Bath has lovely gardens and Roman Baths.

We have been attending

We have been attending Woodlands Community Church in Bristol  http://www.woodlandschurch.net/ which has about 1000 people, mostly college age.  We have been asked to host a pastorate- a home group in our home starting in September.  We are so happy!  It’s what we have been praying for – to be in a close community of Christians who we can pray with and transform our community.  So, thanks for your prayers!!

Now we are getting ready to go to a conference called “Greenbelt”   http://www.greenbelt.org.uk/ for 3 days of camping!!!  Help!  I’ve never camped before, but these Brits camp ALL THE TIME!!  Good grief!  AND the weather is supposed to be horrible!  But these are Christian artists – of all kinds- and we have to go.  This, however is our tent- where we will be living from Friday August 27 through Sunday:)

So, more prayers, please!!!  Please pray that we will be warm, meet lots of great people, new friends, and see a place for our ministry here.  Also, we request your prayers for God to bless us with finances to fund our work here.  We are applying for jobs of all kinds, and any door the Lord opens will be a good one!  Last week I was blessed to get my NI (like our social security number) so I can work now, Yipee!  And Mike is working to get established as a photographer here, and also applying for jobs of any kind to keep us going through the winter.

Well, be well, and be sure to comment your thoughts and any prayer requests.  We’re going to be trying to respond to each comment (I’ve learned that’s what you’re supposed to do :)) .   So, keep your comments coming!  We love you passionately and want to stay in touch,

Blessings,

Christine and Michael

Summer is Here

At the Randy Clark Conference in Bath

In June we’ve had so many people receive healings, both physical and spiritual, through the Randy Clark conferences in Bath, Sheffield, and Southampton, and also through Bill Johnson’s Conference in Bristol.  We’ve helped out in both – Michael doing camera work and photography and myself in prayer team and prophetic painting.

Prophetic Painting is on the beginning edge here, and I met another prophetic artist with a similar call to set up a creative house of prayer in Romania.  We are praying about the House of creativity and prayer that we are called to so it’s great to be friends with a similar missionary.

This is the painting I did during worship at the Bill Johnson Conference.  The presence of God was so heavy, the worship team half crawled to the stage, Bill went to pray for each one and the lead singer fell over on the floor, along with half the team!  When they finally started playing, this is what I painted.  God was showing me how to take an incredible leap of faith and He talked me all the way through it.  At least one person received deliverance from watching it being painted – a dancer.  Many others said they received healing from spiritual issues. When they showed this as background to Bill speaking, Michael and I both saw extra angels in it!  Several times we saw that!  I think God was painting too! What could be more fun?     Here are some photos which feature our house -small but very nice.                                                                                              Well, this will be a shorter blog – more later this month.  We are going to spend Friday (tomorrow)fasting and praying to hear more of God’s will for us.  So, please keep us in your prayers, too.  We absolutely cannot do this without your prayers!  I believe we are at a point now where we need to really hear from Him, and begin to reach out in the direction He has for us.  This will be an exciting summer and we look forward to sharing it with all of you.  We miss you!  We look forward to your comments and posts!  You are all in our prayers, daily, and we send you our love,

Michael and Christine

Praying on the Streets in BristolPainting prophetically in Bristol!Praying on the Streets!
BristolSince the Release Conference a week ago with Bill Johnson, we’ve had unprecedented numbers of people going out praying in the streets, bringing God’s love to everyone they can find!!

Michael and I made sure we got to Bristol before that conference because we knew that it could have a big impact on Revival in this country and we wanted to be part of it.  We saw miracles at that conference!  We , along with an amazing prayer team partly from Bethel and partly Bristolians, prayed as a team every night and saw many many people get healed.  It was an amazing time of calling forth the Holy Spirit to fall on Bristol like never before.  Bristol is a gateway to England, and we believe it is where the Revival will enter in and change this whole country.

An amazing phenomenon that happened during the conference was a billboard went up all over Bristol – it was a huge red cross on a white back ground and it said “50 million believers”  !!!We claimed it as a prophetic sign of what is to come!  The interesting thing about it is that now the conference is over, the posters have disappeared!  I’ve seen this with my own eyes!

There is a new cafewhich opened in our area of town, so after our street praying we went in and prayed God into the space while we debriefed – Pretty Fun!
Bristol is quite a large city with many differenct areas.  We live on the South SIde in Arnos Vale, and we went praying on the streets this morning with about 8 people, praying for God’s love to spread all through this City, person by person.  I prayed for a little girl who God had shown me during a treasure hunt.  We prayed for restoration in her family, and we were so blessed to have been able to do that.  So many stories of people we’ve prayed for, and you can see a light shining in their eyes now.  The light of love and hope.  We are SO HAPPY to be here doing this. Our street, and our house.  We bought a little diesel car – gas is very expensive here.  We are both praying for jobs to support ourselves financially.  I will be volunteering as an art therapist at a neighborhood community center, until I can figure out what else I can do.  This coming weekend I am blessed to have an opportunity to do a workshop on icons at a street fair, sponsored by the Salvation Army!!!  How amazing!  This will give me an idea of how and what people think of icons are here!

So, if you pray for us, specifically for provision, for restoration of Health for Christine, and for the work Mike will be doing with Randy Clark and his team over the next week, we would be very appreciative.  You are always in our prayers.  Do comment, we love to hear from you.  Also, if you want to keep receiving these, sign up for the subscription – at a certain point we won’t be sending out mass emails, so that only those who want to get this will ! 🙂

We send you our love, Michael and Christine

The Hales’ Move to Bristol, UK!

This is the result of a hard early morning’s work, loading our stuff onto the container which is now headed for Bristol from Philmont NY!! (via Southampton, UK)  We had Michael, My son and daughter-in law , Mark and Kristi, our Dog Dylan, our son August and his girlfriend Lauren, and Micah’s fiancee, Tor.  Not in the picture are Micah and me, two more hardworking women!

We later had so  much fun, gathering together  as a family that we decided to decorate cupcakes!

We didn’t expect to have all this amazing help with the move, so Michael and I were so happy to have all our children around us at such a momentus time in our lives.

As most of you know, after graduating from Global School of Supernatural Ministry, Michael and I felt called to move to England as missionaries, spreading God’s Word in a culture which is becoming increasingly less Christian every day.
Having our family’s support and love as we give up our house and set off on this mission is very important to us.  At the time we loaded the container we did not have a definite address for it to be delivered!  So much of this is an act of faith.  I found this part difficult – I like knowing where my home is going to be!Once in England, we stayed with Mike’s family for a few days and signed a lease for our new terraced house.  Then we took a couple of days’ break and visited Devon, the County Mike is from.He looks pretty happy to be home!

There’s lots more to tell you, but this is my first Bristol blog of many more to come.  Truth to tell, I’ve been ill for the last few days, hence my availability to sit at the computer and do this!  But it’s been on my heart, to keep a steady line of communication with all of you we love, and who are praying for us.

God has blessed us with finding a church we love, and even a group of zany Christian artists called “Love Bristol” who just put on a major conference with Bill Johnson last week.  I got to paint prophetically, and Mike did the Photography for the conference We are all praying for Revival and we believe Bristol will be a gateway for Revival in the UK

Here are Dylan and myself at our new home on Chatsworth Rd in Bristol.  We like it!  Moving Day!  And we were so blessed to have our new friends show up on moving day when the container arrived at our new home!  So what seemed impossible to me, God made possible.  And we are so blessed to have such great new friends.  More another day!! Please comment on our blog – we love to hear from you.

BTW  our address is: 19 Chatsworth Rd., Arnos Vale, BS4 3EX, Bristol, England

We send you our love and prayers and earnestly desire yours!!
